Stick Wars
Privacy
What Stick Wars keeps about you, where, and why. Short, because it is not much.
01 — Kept in your browser
Your settings, level and XP, match statistics, map rotation and last match setup are saved in your browser's local storage. For online play it also keeps a guest token and your nickname, and for the visitor counter a random visitor id and whether it has been counted. The game sets no cookies.
Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes all of it, including access to your online guest account.
02 — Kept on the game server
- Online guest account: a random token, the nickname you chose, your online level and XP, when the account was made and last changed, and when it last passed the bot check.
- Visitor counter: a running total of browsers that opened the game, and the random visitor ids of pages open in the last two minutes, held in memory only.
- Running matches live in memory and are gone when they end; only the results (level and XP) are written to your guest account.
- Your IP address is used in memory for rate limits on connections and the visitor counter, and is not stored.
03 — Services the game uses
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the game server and its storage, and sees the usual request data (such as your IP address and browser) to serve and protect the site.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a script, opens a new online guest account; it runs only when you play online.
- The game loads no ads and no analytics scripts, and sells nothing about you.
